Cosmic Siargao
Description
Cosmic is a vegan Filipino restaurant doing things that should genuinely surprise you – tofu sisig that actually slaps, coco adobo, kare kare with vegan bagoong, chickun curry. The combo plates (rice, main, sides) are the move, well-portioned and priced right. It has a Manila sister restaurant, so this isn’t some passion project held together with good intentions; they know what they’re doing.
The space is a bahay kubo tucked slightly off the main tourism road in General Luna – easy to walk past, decorated with lights and plants, relaxed enough that you won’t feel rushed. Non-vegans consistently leave ordering extra rice, which is the only endorsement that matters.
One thing: opening hours are genuinely unpredictable. The kitchen operates on its own schedule, and the staff won’t necessarily apologize for it. Check before you walk over.
