Ohayou Siargao
Description
A Japanese-named guesthouse (the owner clearly has taste) that punches above its category on two things: staff warmth and Starlink internet. Ate Weng and Tina get name-dropped in review after review, which tells you something. The owner runs a tight, hands-on operation – she arranged airport transfers on short notice, personally followed up on room prep, and her mom apparently does laundry. That’s either charming or intense, depending on your personality.
Rooms are modern and clean with actual thoughtful touches: duvets, dimmable mirrors, bidets, separated toilet and shower rooms. The bunk room for groups has individual cabinets per bed, which anyone who’s shared a dorm knows is a small miracle. Views from the rooms are good enough that at least one guest watched sunsets and stars from bed.
The Starlink connection held up through overnight remote work shifts and bad weather, with multiple people running it simultaneously across a week. If reliable internet is the reason you’re reading accommodation reviews at 11pm, this place solves that problem.
